Barika is a psychedelic West African influenced musical collective from Vermont. Led by Craig Myers (from Mike Gordon's band) on the N'Goni, an African harp made from a gourd, the band's danceable poly-rhythmic soundscapes with lush horn melodies have electrified New England audiences for over 10 years. In that time the band has released four albums and has been spreading the love to many east coast festivals including Grand Point North, Otis Mountain Get Down, Wormtown, Discover Jazz, Adirondack Independence, along with many others.

"In their most realized band effort to date, one that truly captures the essence of West African, soul and psychedlica into a bold brew that retains focus, intrigue and undeniably stellar musicianship; Barika has created an underground classic." - Glide Magazine

"Led by their grooves, Barika is wholly rhythmic, captivating audiences with the beautiful, hypnotic way in which they interweave melody and groove to create something that is not only danceable, but incredibly interesting to listen to. Barika creates a soundscape of funk soaked in psychedelic, West African resonance. These guys are definitely worth checking out." - Performer Magazine
